Inspired by the history and artistic culture of our new home, Amy and I (and sweat mustache) took a walk today to find the best of Cartagena’s art. Actually, it was more of an art trek. Seriously readers, Cat can cover some ground, and if I had known we were hiking the Oregon Trail I would have worn boots. And hired a donkey.
Still, it was nice to leave the apartment. The last few days has given a whole new meaning to “the rain in Spain.” It doesn’t stay mainly in the plain…and we had serious cabin fever, like Muppet level cabin fever. Especially during the flooding:
We both love Spanish humor, too. How could you not? They’re funny folk. The following photos are from our trek. I’ll let them speak for themselves, and promise more writing when we have Wi-Fi.
Below is my artistic contribution to Valenica’s free expression neighborhood art festival. Here’s the Zentangle shout-out for the Sketchy Mom’s group of Memphis!
Tomorrow we move into our permanent apartment, and school starts Wednesday! I’ll keep you updated.
Thanks for reading!
